Product cards in the chat
When the AI chatbot recommends products from your synced catalog, the chat widget shows them as small cards with the product photo, name and price, linking to the product page. Run a product sync after updating so your already synced products get their photo.
AI Order Status Lookup
Your chatbot can now answer "where is my order?" with live data from your store. When a customer asks, the AI securely looks the order up in real time and replies with its current status, items and total, but only after verifying the customer's identity (order number plus the email used on the order; signed-in customers only need the order number).
AI Product Sync
Your whole product catalog syncs automatically with the chatbot's AI training data. onWebChat always knows the up-to-date name, price, availability and description of every product, with no need to update the training texts by hand.
Works with any theme, including Journal
The chat widget now loads independently of your storefront theme, so it works out of the box with the Journal theme and every other OpenCart theme, no extra configuration required.
Automatic update notices
The extension checks for new releases and notifies you right inside your OpenCart admin whenever an update is available, so you are always on the latest version.
OpenCart 4 Extension Installation Guide
Step 1 From the OpenCart Admin Dashboard, go to Extensions → Installer. Select the onWebChat extension (.zip file) and upload it.
Step 2 Click the green + button to install the extension.
Step 3 Go to Extensions → Extensions, select Modules from the dropdown. Find the onWebChat extension, click the + button, then click the pencil (edit) icon.
Step 4 Enter your Chat ID, enable the extension, then click Save.
Don't have a Chat ID yet? Create a free onWebChat account, then copy your Chat ID from Settings > Widget > Installation in your dashboard.
Done! Your live chat widget now appears automatically on every page of your OpenCart store, no layout setup required.
